A new beginning

This is a very exciting point in my life for me.  I have left my banking job after nearly ten years in order to make my way alone, to do something I really want to do with my life.

During my years in Tenerife it has become clear that the English speakers who live in and visit this island often feel overwhelmed by the bureaucracy of the Spanish system.  They often receive conflicting advice from mixed sources and, especially for those who don’t speak Spanish, this can leave them feeling confused, disempowered and vulnerable.  They need somebody they can trust to guide them and deal with the bureaucracy on their behalf.

That is why I have decided to study and obtain the appropriate qualifications to offer my services as an independent asesora, to specialise in fiscal and financial matters so that my clients can rest assured that the important stuff is taken care of while they concentrate on enjoying the aspects of Tenerife that brought them here in the first place.

I am still at the earliest stages of my endeavour, comparing the courses on offer in order to select the one that will best equip me to fulfill my goals.  In the meantime, I will share my progress reports as well as any other interesting items of information via this website and my Facebook page.  Here’s to a bright new beginning!

  1. Looking forward to reading all about your new venture as it progresses and at the same time wishing you all the very best with it.

I know you will achieve any goal you set yourself and I look forward to being able to celebrate your achievement with you in a couple of years.

    All the best.
    Andy.
